Gold Rush 21 DVD Review

So I finally had some free time to put together some of my notes regarding "Gold Rush 21", the 2-DVD set that Mike sent me after my prediction of $585 being the price of Gold on market close on June 23rd 2006 was the winning entry in Contest #1.

The DVD set was developed by the Gold Anti-Trust Action Committee and showcases a historic Gold conference exposing the manipulation of the Gold market. Gold Rush 21 contains a 24 minute sumary film and access to each keynote presentation in 8 hours of complete conference coverage. There's so much coverage, that it boggles my mind, trying to figure out how I'll find the time to watch all the presentations. Nonetheless, I've watched several of them already and there are all very interesting.

On August 8th 2005, 100 delegates from 14 countries arrived in Dawson City, the site of the Klondike Gold Rush, to inquire into the condition of the Gold market.

The following is a summary of their findings:

1) GOLD IS MONEY

Gold has been and remains money.

Everyone's Disappeared like those 2 Israeli Soldiers Who Were In Lebanon

Hey, Where did everyone go??  You've all disappeared just like those two Israeli Soldiers who disappeared after their unit crossed into southern Lebanon and were then captured by Hezballoh.   It's going to be fun to watch the Barrick Gold(ABX) hostile tackeover of Novagold (NG) .  Barrick needs the in ground resources of Novagold to keep supporting their money losing hedging program.  The rest of the gold world including GATA is hoping that ABX has to pay $30/share instead of their lowball $14.65.  With Novagold trading at at 10% premium to the offer ($16.45) the market is expecting a higher offer or maybe a white knight.  This takeover has huge implications in how the Gold Supression by Barrick and the Central Banks will continue to work.   If Barrick can use the Novagold reserves for their hedging they will succeed in helping to get our gold price down.  Comments??

Which Broker for an RRSP Account?

I'm looking into setting up an RRSP.It will probably start out relatively small (Any suggestions out there as to which broker has the lowest fees (trading + admin) for RRSP accounts? From my limited searching so far, E*Trade Canada looks best. Are there others out there that can match/beat their fees? Also, is there anyone here with E*Trade for their RRSP that can share their opinions of them? Thanks!

Explaining Mining Mathematix

Any smart chaps care to explain how these mining metricss work here's an example from my favourite co. Aurcana...

"This is a significant acquisition for Aurcana as the 800 tonne per day La Negra mine and mill have been well maintained and the "skarn-hosted" polymetallic deposit has historically reported grades of approximately 160 grams/tonne silver, 2.83% zinc, 0.94% copper and 0.91% lead, contained in approximately 1.2 million tonnes."

"The exploration potential at La Negra is considered to be very good, both around existing ore zones and also at depth. Penoles developed a very detailed exploration model outlining potential blocks, location and number of holes to be drilled and a budget. In the La Negra district a general metal zonation has been recognized whereby lead -- zinc rich "manto" type bodies overlie silver rich lead -- zinc "chimney" type bodies. At greater depth the copper content increases significantly as seen on the Cristo Rey 2 level where stopes have historically reported grades of up to 353 grams/tonne silver, 5.69% copper and 1.26% zinc. Penoles reported diamond drilling results from 90 metres below the Cristo Rey 2 stope that graded 323 grams/tonne silver, 5.79% copper and 2.37% zinc over a width of 7.8 metres. Readers are however cautioned that this potential grade is an estimate and further due diligence and work is required by Aurcana to verify the grade and widths."
